Strypes specializes in developing comprehensive software solutions for businesses, including software for chip manufacturing machines, digital transformation, application development, software modernization, process optimization, support, and diagnostics of various applications. The aim of the partnership with Code Academy is to train juniors who will then have the opportunity to start their IT careers as developers at Strypes. The training will be fully funded by the company and free for the students. The course will last 6 months, covering technologies such as C, Python, Linux, Unix, and Basic BASH. The training for the profession “Junior Developer with C, Python, Linux, Unix, and Basic BASH” will start at the beginning of 2021.
Let us tell you a little more about Strypes. The company was founded in 2008 in the Netherlands and has been developing and expanding successfully for 12 years. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Strypes’ team in Bulgaria has grown by 50 people. Their offices in Bulgaria are located in Sofia and Plovdiv. The company’s main clients are from the Netherlands, USA, Sweden, Belgium, Germany, and the UK. Besides the successful work with business partners and long-term and stable projects, the company places great importance on the treatment of its employees and the atmosphere within the teams. As Todor Marinov, CEO of the company, says:
“At Strypes, we operate under the philosophy ‘happy employees – happy clients – successful business.’
We believe that if we take good care of our employees, they will take care of our clients, which will lead to good business results. We offer a favorable environment where each of our employees has the opportunity to develop even outside their area of expertise.” This belief is embedded in the company’s processes, the opportunity for every team member to give ideas, express opinions, and give their best, flexible working hours, and an individual plan and budget for training and improvement.
Happy Employees – Happy Clients – Successful Business
It is no coincidence that the average tenure of employees is 6-7 years. They have the opportunity to develop both in technology and in the hierarchy. Teams are stable, not frequently changing projects or managers. In several conversations with Strypes representatives, we understand that key to the success of such a flat structure are internal team communication, each programmer’s ability to give feedback, seek information, have a critical and precise assessment of the quality of their work. Therefore, in addition to technical knowledge, it is extremely important for people who become part of the team to be open to communication, enjoy working in a team, not be afraid to take the initiative, respond, give ideas, like to seek new solutions, and improve what they do. Upon joining the company, every new employee undergoes training and then has a buddy, a colleague with a lot of experience in the company, who supports and guides them in the process of getting started with the work.
Why C and Python?
We have mentioned more than once that the curricula of Code Academy courses are created according to business requirements. We teach technologies and practical skills that can be immediately used in a work environment. Strypes wants to increase its team for a project where these two technologies are used, and it is important for the junior programmer to be proficient in both.
What kind of people would be suitable for this programming course?
Curious, thoughtful, and active people who like new technologies and want to become programmers by starting their career at Strypes. The ideal candidate has good logical thinking, can solve problems, and has a strong desire to learn. He/she is a proactive and positive person who communicates well in a team, can adhere to task deadlines, and always strives to give their best. A technical background would be useful for a smoother entry into the subject matter, so we have also planned an introductory programming training for complete beginners.
All candidates for the course will undergo a selection procedure, including an online entry test and an online interview. We will sign a training agreement with everyone approved for the course.
