Before starting my training at Code Academy, I had no knowledge of programming whatsoever and began my entire preparation at the Code Academy camp.

After the training, I gained a lot of knowledge that was beneficial for me to start a new position as a software developer. In the academy, I made many friendships and acquired a lot of skills through solving various tasks and projects. The most important thing I gained from the course is confidence that I can learn how to program because before starting the course, I thought it was a “gift” rather than a skill, which Code Academy managed to show me.

Before starting my training at Code Academy, I had concerns that I would face significant difficulties advancing technically to the level of people who had been working with computers for years, as I had abandoned such a position a few years ago and had been working in a completely different field.

After the training, there was no trace of those concerns – the material learned during the academy turned out to be even more than sufficient for me for a favorable start in a completely new profession!

Right from the start of my new position, I realized that thanks to the wonderful instructors and the smoothly and specifically delivered material, as well as the practical exercises during the course, there was no mention of previous doubts. I felt confident, supported, and motivated.

Hello, my name is Anton Minchev, and I am a QA Analyst thanks to Code Academy.

Before starting my training at Code Academy, I became an engineer, completed several courses related to ensuring quality products, applied for not one or two job offers, and throughout the whole time, I felt confident and knew that I was doing well, but somehow the results were not coming.

After the opportunities and the successfully completed training presented to me by the professionals at Code Academy, and the chance that motivated me even more to prove myself and learn more about various fields from programming to communication with people, and especially how to be successful in the field of IT and business thinking, which is why the world continues to evolve.

Before starting my training at CodeAcademy, I had some concerns and problems related to becoming a programmer. At first, I felt very uncertain and unsure if I would be able to learn the technologies and apply them in practice.

However, after completing my training at Code Academy, I obtained many useful and measurable results. I now better understand what it means to be a programmer and what skills and knowledge are required for it.

Additionally, I became much more confident in my abilities and now feel ready to work as a programmer. The management at CodeAcademy is great; they always monitor your progress and provide support, so you never have to deal with problems alone. The opportunity to connect with other people in the industry who have also trained at CodeAcademy gave me additional support and networking opportunities. I also gained access to resources and tools that helped me develop my skills and prepare for work.

Most importantly, many job opportunities opened up for me as a programmer after my training. So, the training at CodeAcademy was exactly what I needed to start a successful career in programming.

Before starting my training at Code Academy, I had encountered programming languages at Sofia University, but after graduating, I failed to start working in the IT field, as I had already leaned towards a different field and had accumulated several years of experience alongside my university studies.

More than 10 years after graduating as a computer science engineer, I had almost no memories of any of the languages I had studied, which was naturally a serious problem when looking for work in the IT field. I decided to give my professional career a fresh start, and fate led me to Code Academy. I decided to apply, despite serious concerns about what I could demonstrate as knowledge in this field. It had been a long time since university, English was not my strongest suit, but I am persistent and serious as a person, I have good computer skills, and as they say – you never know until you try…

The good folks at Code Academy reached out to me, provided me with access to videos and materials for preliminary preparation (revision). After the training, or rather starting from the admission test, the videos and materials, to which I gained access, really helped me a lot, the first good impression that the Academy made, for me to succeed, fortunately, I managed to pass successfully!

Then detailed information about each step that lies ahead. If you have difficulties, you receive quick and adequate assistance. At the start, you understand the organization, you gain access to every software you will need to conduct the training. At the first meeting, you get to know the people who will train you and help you, mentors, lecturers, the people you will learn and probably work with after some time. You realize that you are not alone and that you are not the only one who has some knowledge in the field but is not a professional, and somehow you just have to relax and let the professionals lead you and help you in this adventure (training).

In short – I am glad that I ended up at Code Academy. I gained knowledge that I hardly would have accumulated in university in such a short time and on several different programming languages, I got the chance to work on real projects assigned by mentors, I solidified my understanding that if you make an effort, give your all to follow your dreams, and remain consistent and serious, alongside professionals to guide and help you, no matter how dynamic and challenging the work may be, you will succeed.

And finally, these people tried in every possible way to help each and every one of us achieve the goals set in this course and gain the confidence that we can handle the challenges that the IT industry may pose, from firsthand experience!

In recent years, she has been developing Cloud Services using Java and Spring. Daniela loves to teach because it gives her the opportunity, by sharing her knowledge and experience, to help her students start a successful IT career.

Dimitar is a programmer with many years of practice and experience in developing communication systems, software, and databases. He started his career at the Institute of Computer and Communication Systems at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He has participated in international and Bulgarian projects and has conducted exercises at the Technical University of Sofia. He has been involved in the development of billing systems, fiscal devices, VoIP, digital television, pharmacy and warehouse software, games, and many others. Dimitar uses C, C++, Python, Perl, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL, Delphi. Dimitar is a fountain of technical knowledge. He will support you during the time allocated for self-study, whenever you have a question or a situation you’re not sure how to approach.

Anastas is a programmer with over thirty years of practice. He has participated in the development of many projects for telecoms, financial institutions, games, and other business systems. He spent two years of his career as a university lecturer. Today, he prefers to program in C++, but he has extensive experience with Java, Python, C, Pro*C, PL, and PL SQL. For him, every programming language is just another expressive tool that helps him get the job done. Anastas has the ability to convey even the most complex material in an understandable language. She completed her higher education at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” specializing in “Information Systems” and earning a Bachelor’s degree. During her studies, Elena served as an assistant lecturer for over a year in Programming Fundamentals & OOP in C++. Presently, she is a member of the teaching team for the elective course “Development of Front-End Web” at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.” In addition to teaching and programming, design is a passion she enjoys during her free time.

Currently, he manages a company that focuses on software development and provides software consulting services. His experience is entirely centered around Python, going through various software projects along his journey. He started working in the sector as a joke during his preparation for a state exam in Finance. Since then, he believes that the most beautiful thing about the programmer’s profession is that you can learn every day and the more you learn, the more you realize that there is still much to learn. She has been working with the academy team on various projects for 12 years and sees the Code Academy project as a personal cause. She is inspired by the opportunity to support anyone who wishes to change their life and become a programmer. Vanya is a mentor in our program. She has been working as a programmer for three years with Java + Spring, Golang, TypeScript + Angular. Passing on her knowledge to newcomers in the field is her calling. In her free time, she reads books and helps homeless animals. She has three adopted dogs. Vanya will always be there for you to help you successfully deal with the bugs in the code you write.

Nadezhda is one of the babies of Code Academy. She is a graduate of one of our first groups and now she is already a mid-level developer with 4 years of experience as a programmer. Her technologies are Java and Spring. She loves folk dances and is generally a very artistic person. Nadezhda will guide you through the Jumpstart module and will be your mentor in the advanced modules. She will make sure that you learn to write quality code, adhere to conventions, and you will always see her by your side – with a wide smile.
