Before starting my training at Code Academy, I had tried to kickstart a successful career as a programmer. I put in a lot of effort into it but couldn’t achieve it. I attempted to work in companies that required previous experience. Up until that point, I had only dedicated time to my own projects. After completing my training at the Academy, I had acquired new knowledge and was confident that I was one step ahead of the competition. It wasn’t wasted time; rather, it was a bonus for anyone looking to achieve their goals.

Before starting my training at Code Academy, I had familiarized myself theoretically with PHP and its capabilities as an OOP language. I had a desire to advance my career as a back-end developer and therefore sought new opportunities to fulfill my dreams.

During the course, I learned a lot about programming, as well as about my favorite language – PHP. I met many interesting people. The mentor who helped me with the final project performed wonderfully and gave me valuable guidance on how to write and develop my code. He also offered solutions from his own experience, which knowledge helped me in my journey as a junior programmer.

I was very pleased to attend the Junior Developer course with C, Python, Linux, and Basic BASH at Code Academy. I found it beneficial and applicable to my current role as a Scrum Master in the field of robotic process automation, where I apply the acquired knowledge every day. The course provided a comprehensive foundation in programming and introduced me to important concepts and practices in C, Python, and Linux. The instructors and mentors at Code Academy were exceptionally competent and caring, providing clear explanations and demonstrations with live examples. Thanks to their expertise and responsiveness, I was able to grasp the fundamentals of programming and OOP and learn to use the C and Python languages to develop software applications.

I would like to extend special thanks to Yoana Yonova from Code Academy, who closely monitored the progress of each student and actively assisted with organization and advice. The knowledge I gained during the course has been extremely beneficial in my current work. As a Scrum Master in the field of robotic process automation, I use programming as a tool for automating and optimizing business processes. Every day, I apply programming principles to create and improve robotic solutions. I learned how to work in a Linux environment and use various development tools, which helps me in my current tasks. The programming fundamentals I acquired have enabled me to use other languages as well – the primary language I currently use at work is Java, and I felt no obstacles in starting to write code in it.

I would recommend the course to anyone looking to start a career in programming or expand their knowledge. The course offers fundamental and practical programming practices that can be applied across various industries and professional fields. Thanks to it, I was able to turn my interests in robotic process automation into reality and develop professionally. I appreciate the organizers of the course for the opportunity and the knowledge provided. I was extremely satisfied with the experience and highly recommend the course to anyone seeking quality programming education.

Before starting my training at Code Academy, I had participated in various paid courses, but I always felt like something was missing for the next step. I had been following Code Academy from its inception, and I decided that the right moment was now, so I found myself among the chosen ones without further delay.

Here, I found the things that were missing for me, namely an individual approach to everyone, guidance, advice, help, mentors who always supported us, and last but not least, I saw friends in everyone’s eyes. The program is very intensive, but with the help of everyone at the academy, discipline, and hard work, one unconsciously finds themselves where they have dreamed of being!

After completing my training, I took stock of this half-year. The result is that I gained real experience with different teams, on interesting projects, gained more confidence, and of course, got the chance to start working in the field. The course held at Code Academy for Junior Java developers was well-organized, and we were introduced to all the stages beforehand.

The Java material was taught in a very pleasant manner by a professional with rich experience in the field. I was able to reinforce my knowledge of Java from university and become more confident in myself.

The SQL and PL/SQL program covered all the material you need to start working as a junior developer.

Each course gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and improve them. The three projects help you apply what you have learned.

You always have a mentor behind you to guide you through good and bad programming practices.

Of course, six months are not enough to acquire perfect Java developer skills, but they give you a very good foundation, and with effort and patience, things work out.

Dimitar is a programmer with many years of practice and experience in developing communication systems, software, and databases. He started his career at the Institute of Computer and Communication Systems at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He has participated in international and Bulgarian projects and has conducted exercises at the Technical University of Sofia. He has been involved in the development of billing systems, fiscal devices, VoIP, digital television, pharmacy and warehouse software, games, and many others. He will support you during the time allocated for self-study, whenever you have a question or a situation you’re not sure how to approach.

She completed her higher education at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” specializing in “Information Systems” and earning a Bachelor’s degree. During her studies, Elena served as an assistant lecturer for over a year in Programming Fundamentals & OOP in C++. Presently, she is a member of the teaching team for the elective course “Development of Front-End Web” at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.” In addition to teaching and programming, design is a passion she enjoys during her free time.

He has been leading and training teams of programmers for more than 5 years. Ivo has worked on numerous large projects in the fields of Blockchain, Fintech, and Real Estate. Currently, he manages a company that focuses on software development and provides software consulting services. He has a passion for high speeds, and you can often find him at the track, whether racing go-karts or driving his personal car.

Peter is a programmer with over 9 years of experience. He describes himself as an unconventional software engineer. His experience is entirely centered around Python, going through various software projects along his journey. He started working in the sector as a joke during his preparation for a state exam in Finance. Since then, he believes that the most beautiful thing about the programmer’s profession is that you can learn every day and the more you learn, the more you realize that there is still much to learn. Solving business problems through software solutions is what makes him smile every day. Galia has a background in finance and has had a long-standing friendship with numbers, but she has always been drawn to working with people, and communication is her forte. She has been working with the academy team on various projects for 12 years and sees the Code Academy project as a personal cause. She is inspired by the opportunity to support anyone who wishes to change their life and become a programmer. She is always ready to help with motivation for those who have lost confidence and need a friendly shoulder and support.

Vanya is a mentor in our program. She has been working as a programmer for three years with Java + Spring, Golang, TypeScript + Angular. Passing on her knowledge to newcomers in the field is her calling. In her free time, she reads books and helps homeless animals. She has three adopted dogs. Vanya will always be there for you to help you successfully deal with the bugs in the code you write.

Nadezhda is one of the babies of Code Academy. She is a graduate of one of our first groups and now she is already a mid-level developer with 4 years of experience as a programmer. Her technologies are Java and Spring. She loves folk dances and is generally a very artistic person. Nadezhda will guide you through the Jumpstart module and will be your mentor in the advanced modules. She will make sure that you learn to write quality code, adhere to conventions, and you will always see her by your side – with a wide smile.
