CODIX and Code Academy – once again side by side in two new specialized courses

The partnership between the academy and CODIX dates back to 2019. It was united around the idea of ​​creating practically oriented programming courses that include more than one technology. Why is this necessary? To adequately meet the needs of the business. As a result of a series of discussions between representatives of the two companies, the curricula for the first two courses at Code Academy for the profession of Junior Back-end Developer were created – Junior Back-end Developer with profiles in SQL, PL/SQL, Pro*C, and C, and Junior Back-end Developer with profiles in SQL, PL/SQL, and Java. We were pioneers, and we are extremely pleased with the results achieved. After completing the two 6-month courses, more than 85% of the successful graduates started their careers as juniors at CODIX.

Who is CODIX?

CODIX is an international software company specializing in the development and maintenance of financial software. Their product, iMX, is a comprehensive software allowing centralized management of all activities and business processes. Their clients are large international financial institutions, leasing companies, and banks. CODIX is headquartered in France, but has offices in numerous other countries worldwide. Their largest operational office is located in Business Park Sofia. It currently employs more than 500 people, but the teams are constantly growing and expanding. They support and develop CODIX’s unique product using technologies such as Java, C, SQL, PHP, JavaScript, and many others. Of course, the company also employs personnel with non-engineering backgrounds and technical orientations, such as Business Analysts and experts, who are also an important part of the successful project implementation.

Let us tell you a little more about what it’s like for a junior to work at CODIX.

Our former students have told us that right from the start, they are actively involved in the work process, perform tasks, and continue to learn new things. The course has given them a very good foundation, and with real work, they continue to build and accumulate new skills to be increasingly successful. For the current year 2021, Code Academy and CODIX will jointly organize and conduct 2 more specialized courses, which will be free for the students, and upon successful completion, they will have the chance to start their careers as programmers at the company. One course will focus on WEB Back-end with a Java profile, and the other is entirely new, for the currently relevant position of QA Specialist. We will announce the start dates very soon! She completed her higher education at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” specializing in “Information Systems” and earning a Bachelor’s degree. During her studies, Elena served as an assistant lecturer for over a year in Programming Fundamentals & OOP in C++. Presently, she is a member of the teaching team for the elective course “Development of Front-End Web” at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.” In addition to teaching and programming, design is a passion she enjoys during her free time.

Her technologies are Java and Spring. She loves folk dances and is generally a very artistic person.
